About MacKenzie Equity Partners
MacKenzie Equity Partners was founded by Charles W.S. Mackenzie to create long-term value through real estate investments. We strive to invest our partners’ capital in assets that provide above market, long-term, risk adjusted returns.
Our Mid-Atlantic headquarters allows us to capitalize on our relationships that have been established during 18 years of experience in the real estate industry. Formally with Mackenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC. Charley focused on acquisitions, development and redevelopment of office, industrial, retail and residential projects. Additionally, Charley is an executive officer of MacKenzie Properties, Inc., which is the general partner of more than 3,000,000 square feet of office and retail projects located in the state of Maryland. This relationship affords us the opportunity to partner with one of the largest full service commercial real estate firms in the region.
We have a real estate philosophy that is guided by the fundamental premise that future cash flows ultimately determine the value of an asset. We believe that rigorous due diligence, the use of conservative assumptions in projecting cash flows, and careful assessment of downside scenarios are the best methods to ensure that we consistently achieve our return objectives.
Our ability and willingness to source, evaluate and execute complex transactions within a short time frame are key competitive advantages.
The firm’s culture emphasizes honesty, respect and integrity in dealing with outside parties and reflects a long-term approach to creating and cultivating relationships with sellers, agents, financial partners and the communities in which we invest. We recognize the importance of aligning the firm’s interests with those of its financial partners.
